The house is a well-proportioned Classical Revival residence, c. 1914. CAP recognized W. Sam Tarlton with an Anthemion Award in June 2002 for his restoration of the house. It was moved from its original location at 208 N. Harrington Street to its new location at 414 New Bern Avenue in the Oakwood Historic District.
