The James Madison Williams House is significant as a unique high-style late Queen Anne farmhouse in western Wake County. It is a rare surviving intact centerpiece of a historic farmscape with several original historic farm buildings associated with the house dating to the height of tobacco cultivation in the White Oak Township.
